BARBER COUNTY SCHOOLS
Unified School District 254 serves students and families in a 718 square mile area of Medicine Lodge, Kansas in Barber and Pratt Counties. K-12 students attend one of two attendance centers. Students in K-6 attend Medicine Lodge Grade School. Medicine Lodge Jr/Sr High School is a 2A school serving students in grades 7-12.
The district also provides a 4 year old at risk program located in Medicine Lodge Grade School and special education services which are provided by the South Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative in Pratt, Kansas.
The South Barber school system, Unified School District 255, is recognized for its excellence in academics and extra-curricular activities. The district includes students from several surrounding communities. The educational facilities are located in Kiowa, Kansas in south central Kansas consisting of two buildings; PreK-6 and 7-12.
